Minimum qualification required for appointment:

1. Post: Inspector of Armed Police

Minimum Qualification Required:

(a) Completed 21 years of age on the date of publication of advertisement and not exceeding 25 years of age (from date of birth 2055/09/20 to date 2059/09/20),

(b) Graduated from a recognized university or its equivalent,

(c) Height not less than five feet two inches and weight not less than 50 kg in case of male. And in case of women, height at least five feet and weight at least 42 kg. having,

(d) Obtained certificate of Nepali citizenship,

(e) In the case of men, the chest is at least 31 inches when not inflated and 33 inches when inflated (not applicable for women),

(f) Eyes not weaker than minus 2 or plus 2,

(g) having obtained a certificate of health from an approved physician appointed by the Head Office (to be conducted during the examination);

(h) having received a recommendation of good character from the educational institution where he studied and two other incumbent gazetted officers of the Government of Nepal other than his relatives,

(a) has not been convicted by a court of law on criminal charges involving moral turpitude,

(j) not being a member of a political party at the time of application,

(k) not being a member of a terrorist organization,

(l) Not dismissed from employment so as to disqualify him/her for government service in the future,

(d) Impunity for violations of human rights and humanitarian law;

(d) Not having been punished for espionage against Nepal.

2. For ASI Post

Minimum Qualification Required:

(a) Completed 18 years and less than 23 years on the date of publication of advertisement (from date

of birth 2057/09/20 to date 2062.09.20),

(b) having obtained a certificate level or equivalent (+2) degree from a recognized university,

(c) Possessing qualifications other than (a) and (b) of the post of Armed Police Inspector.

3. Post: APF Parichar (Various Trades)

Minimum Qualification Required:

(a) Completed 18 years of age on the date of publication of advertisement and not exceeding 25 years of age (from date of birth 2055/09/20 to date 2062/09/20),

(b) going to read ordinary articles,

(c) Height not less than five feet and weight not less than 50 kg in case of male. And in case of women, height should be at least four feet ten inches and weight should be at least 42 kg. having,

(d) In the case of men, the chest is at least 30 inches uninflated and 32 inches when inflated (not required for women),

(e) Possessing other qualifications than (a), (b), (c) and (e) of Armed Police Inspector post.
