Abt Associates is recruiting qualified candidates for the upcoming USAID/Nepal Agricultural Input Market System Activity, a new five-year Activity planned by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Nepal. This Activity will focus on improving the productivity, competitiveness, inclusivity, and resilience of Nepal's agriculture sector by increasing the availability and accessibility of four critical inputs - improved seed, fertilizer, irrigation, and agricultural equipment.
The Agricultural Input Market System Activity will result in the stabilization of Nepal's agricultural input market system and reduce the specific barriers faced by women, youth, and marginalized farmers to accessing, utilizing, and benefiting from improved inputs.
Abt Associates is seeking applications from qualified professionals for the positions listed below. All positions will be based in Kathmandu. Positions are contingent upon award of this Activity to Abt Associates.
1. Deputy Chief of Party
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in international development, agriculture, business, or related field with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years of progressively responsible management experience (or Bachelor's degree and 15 years).
- Demonstrated technical expertise in strengthening agricultural systems. Demonstrated experience with market systems development approaches.

2. Finance and Administration Director
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years' experience in business administration, finance, accounting, and management required. Master's preferred.
- Experience with financial and administrative management of USAID-funded international development programs required.

3. Policy and Enabling Environment Lead
Key Qualifications
- Master's degree in economics, agriculture, law, business administration, or a related field
- At least eight years of relevant professional experience, such as in agricultural policy formulation, capacity building in policy analysis, facilitation of public-private sector dialogue, and assistance in policy implementation.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Director
Key Qualifications
- Master's degree in statistics, economics, business administration, or relevant area of study and at least 10 years of experience in data management and analysis for monitoring and evaluation, adaptive management, and learning required.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems for donor-funded projects, preferably USAID-funded.
