Nepal Telecom will start 4G service in 26 major and small cities of the country from Wednesday. Managing Director Dilli Adhikari informed that the company is going to extend the service from Wednesday in the first phase under a project to expand the service across the country. "Many tests have been successful," he said.
Telecom is expanding its 4G service to cover all provinces, including metros. Forcible services will be implemented under the main cities in Damak, Birtamod, Dharan, Biratnagar, Itahari, Janakpur, Birgunj, Hetauda, Bharatpur, Butwal, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi. Likewise, Rukum, Baglung, Mahottari, Rautahat, Siraha, Bardiya, Dang, Dhankuta, Kailali, Kapilavastu, Myagdi, Nawalparasi, Palpa, and Parbat district headquarters will be started in the district, according to the official. Under the first phase, 4G services would be started in these cities, but after that, the testing and service operations would be regular in new places, he said. "A new BTS is being installed every hour," he said

Telecom has deployed its technology to launch 4G services. The drive test work will continue till Wednesday. Telecom had signed a final agreement on May 20 for a 4G expansion project across the country. The agreement stated that the target would be extended within a year. Telecom is investing around 19 billion rupees for the expansion. Telecom can add 6.5 million 4G subscribers to the project. At present, the company is providing forgery services through technology neutralization in 100 MHz band in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara. For the first time in Nepal, Poush 17th, 2073, the company has started 8th service in these two cities and now there are eight million forgeries.
The company is currently expanding its forgery into a new 800 MHz band with a frequency of 10 MHz. The managing director said that the service will be integrated by integrating 20 MHz frequency between the two bands. That is, mobile users with the convenience of using the Forgery service in both bands will benefit from it. The company said that customers can avail the 4G facility through the extension of service.
NTC Bonus on Festival:
By targeting Festival, Telecom is going to provide a bonus to customers on recharge. The company has provided this facility when Ashoj recharges through recharge card or mpos from 18th to 24th. Recharge up to two hundred rupees from the recharge card will provide a 10 percent bonus while recharging from five hundred to one thousand rupees. The company said that the bonus should be used within three days and five days, respectively. Likewise, the new 4G customer is expected to provide two hundred MB of data for a two-day use as a bonus. The company will provide free missed call alerts to postpaid customers and up to sixth prepaid customers.
