Overview

Padmodaya Secondary School Putalisadak was established on 18 February 1947 ( 2003 BS Falgun 29) as a Public educational institution, which is located in Ramshah Path, Kathmandu. It is affiliated to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers educational programs from Grade One to Ten (SEE) and Plus Two programs under Management, Humanities, Education, and  Science streams.

 The word “Padmodaya” refers to the name of then Prime Minister of Nepal “Padma Shamsher Jung Bahadur Rana (JBR)”, the father of schools who not only gave consent to open public school but also laid the foundation stone for construction of school building and provided essential donations. The school was patronized by Kamala, the wife of Padma Shamsher and the school building is being publicly called Kamala Bhavana since that time.

Padmodaya Secondary School Putalisadak provides up to Secondary level education with moderate fee structures and also provides a scholarship scheme for deserving students.
