Overview
Jiri Secondary School (जीरी माध्यमिक विद्यालय, दोलाखा) was established in 1960 A.D (2016 BS) as a first school to launch a 10+2 science community based educational institution, which is situated in Manedanda Bazar, Ward No. 9 Jiri, Dolakha, Nepal. It is affiliated to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers educational programs from ECD to Grade 10 and plus two programs under the Management, science, Humanities, and Education streams.
The school is a leading educational institution in the Dolakha district. The Schools' history began from 1960 A.D. In 1960 A.D. the school was introduced as a primary school and thereafter in 1966 middle school was introduced, the secondary level was introduced in 1967 A.D. and higher secondary level was introduced in 1994 A.D. respectively. This school celebrated its Golden jubilee in 2011 A.D. in the hospitality of Dr. Rambaran Yadav, the first president of Nepal republic.
It is also the ending point of La Mosanghu- Jiri Highway. It lies on the belt of Lamosanghudiri Highway. It is located in Manedanda Bazar, ward No. 9, covering about 321 companies (about 163000 sq. meters) area. The altitude of this place is about 1950 meters from the surface of the sea level.
The school will be successful to stand as a pioneer model school producing the disciplined, innovative, resourceful, independent, and productive manpower through competitive education enhancing the educational quality and physical aspects of the school. And different activities are conducted to fulfill the visions and goals. It will be able to attain the prearranged goals after the effective implementation of the activities.
It has produced about 2200 SLC graduates since its first SLC batch 2025 B.S. It is always committed and dedicated to achieving its objective of academic excellence so that it can do better in the days to come for the all-round developments of its students.
