Janak Secondary School, Nawalpur (जनक माध्यमिक विद्यालय, नवलपुर) was established in 1958 AD (2015 BS) as a community based educational institution, which is situated in Gaindakot-5, Nawalpur, Nepal. It is affiliated to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers educational programs from ECD to grade 10 and Plus Two (Class 11 and 12) in Management, Humanities, and Education streams.

Janak Secondary School (JSS) is one of the oldest, reputed, a well established educational institution which is located on the lap of the Gautam Buddha birthplace Lumbini zone, Gaindakot Municipality-5, Nawalpur. It has various intellectual, headteachers, social workers, other teachers as well as members of the community, and members of the school management committee highly contributed to the establishment of this educational institution. It was established in 2015. Innumerable personalities play a prominent role in the establishment of this school. One of the pioneer’s renowned personalities named Late Surya Bhakta Adhikari (Ex-Member of Parliament) highly contributed to performing the outstanding roles. So, the credit goes to him.

JSS has been running in two streams Nepali and English Medium from Play Group to Class 12. Adequate facilities and amenities are the main attractions of this school. About 1500 students are learning in different streams. The key objective of JSS is to provide quality education to all the people belonging to different races and ethnic groups. It is a governmental educational institution, which popularity is spreading in the national as well as international arena.

This School is an educational institution where students and staff of various nationalities and backgrounds live, study, and work together in a congenial atmosphere.
