WWF Nepal marks 26 years of its establishment of the office in 2019.
With a special focus on wildlife, forests, climate and energy, and freshwater, WWF Nepal works towards conserving nature through a combination of actions on the ground, national and international advocacy work to establish appropriate policies, and international campaigns to highlight and demonstrate solutions to crucial environmental challenges.
As in the previous years, WWF welcomes nominations for Conservation Awards 2019 from organizations and individuals working in the field of conservation and natural resource management. The nominations will need to reflect illustrious accomplishments and innovations in the areas of biodiversity conservation, addressing climate change and pollution, sustainable development, environmental education, policy and advocacy, media and journalism, youth in conservation and other related fields.
Up to five recipients of the Conservation Awards will be selected from the nominations received by an independent selection panel that comprises of an eminent group of experts from diverse sectors. The awardees will receive citations and cash prizes -Rs. 50,000 for individuals and Rs. 100,000 for organizations.
