Urgent Notice Regarding Scholarship to Institutional Schools Under Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Municipal Executive Office, is pleased to provide crucial information regarding scholarships offered by institutional schools under its jurisdiction. This announcement is in accordance with the circular dated 2080/01/24 and the public notice published in the Gorkhapatra on 2080/02/10.

Scholarships have been made available to students up to class 10 for the academic session 2080. The distribution of scholarships took place within the year 2080, and it is imperative that the concerned schools submit information about the scholarships to the Department of Education. The details must be emailed to [email protected] during office hours on 16th Jestha 2080.

The Department of Education would like to express its gratitude to the schools that have already distributed scholarships and provided their details based on the given information. You can find the list of these schools on the official website of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (https://kathmandu.gov.np).

However, it has come to our attention that certain schools, as per the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075, have not yet submitted the details of scholarship distribution, along with their IEMIS CODE. These schools are requested to adhere to the regulations and submit the required information before the deadline of Jesta 28, 2080.

Failure to comply with the scholarship distribution rules and the submission of details within the specified timeframe will lead to consequences in accordance with Section 55, 59, and Section 50 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075. As per sub-section 4 of Section 56 of the Act, the permission or approval granted to the school may be revoked, and appropriate action will be taken as required by this Act or other prevailing laws.

We urge all concerned schools to prioritize the timely submission of scholarship details to avoid any potential repercussions and to ensure the smooth continuation of the scholarship program in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
