University Grants Commission, Special Promotion Program in Higher Education, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur Notice on Disadvantaged Targeted Scholarship Programme:
In order to increase the access of common people to higher education, to develop human resources, and to participate in national economic growth and development, to provide scholarships annually to economically disadvantaged students who have completed secondary-level studies from government or public schools and are studying at the graduate level within the country, and to provide scholarships annually through the prescribed process. Scholarship applications have been requested from the students studying in the first year/first semester of graduate level who have successfully completed class 12 studies from the respective schools.
This notification has been published to the concerned students and other stakeholders to apply through the Poverty Targeted Scholarship Program link on the homepage of the University Grants Commission website: www.ugcnepal.edu.np according to their USER ID.
A) For concerned students (to apply for a scholarship):
- USER ID: Student's National Examination Board Registration Number (NEB Registration Number)
- User password (Password): To be obtained using the Online System as per instructions.
- Application Period: From 1st of August 2079 to 30th of August 2079.
B) For concerned government or community schools (to receive and approve the scholarship application form of the students of their school)
- USER ID: School's NEB Registration Number
- User password (Password): To be obtained by using (Online System) according to instructions.
- Application and acceptance period: Date 2079 up to 15th of Magh.
C) For the concerned rural municipalities/municipalities (for final approval of the scholarship applications of their municipal areas approved by the schools including household survey as required):
- User ID: To be provided by the University Grants Commission.
- User password (Password): To be obtained by using (Online System) according to instructions.
- Last approved Awadh: Date 2079 up to 30th of Magh.
Other arrangements related to scholarship management will be as follows:
- The applications of the students who have studied class 12 in Gharpayak's schools will be processed and certified by the respective schools through the online system on the website of the World School Grants Commission.
- Because the application is made by students who have studied class 12 while away from their permanent home address, the municipality/municipality having their permanent home address will process and verify the application through the online system on the website of the University Grants Commission.
- If there is a change in the completion level during the on-site inspection at the homes of the students in the selection list, the respective students may be removed from the list or even included.
- If any of the applicant students have a complaint about the selection of the commission, they can appeal in the format prescribed by the University Grants Commission within 15 days from the first date of the final selection notification of the students.
- University Grants Commission will inform the students about the selection through their SMS.
- Other arrangements will be in accordance with University Grants Commission's Higher Education Targeted Scholarship Implementation Standards, 2079.
