Two Nepali female scientists have received fellowships worth 50/50 thousand US dollars for research on their proposal. The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), a UNESCO organization. Dr. Tista Prasai Joshi and Dr. Pratibha Pandey were given this amount of research money.
NAST scientist Dr. Prasai has been working for more than a decade on Drinking water and water purification. While Dr. Pratibha is Managing Pharmaceutical Chemicals and using chemical technology from the wastes of citrus and oranges (citrus) fruits. Pandey has been investigating. Pandey is a scientist at the Research Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology and CEO of Catalyst Technology.
The OWSD had called for more productive work on a cost-effective basis. For this, scientists from developing countries around the world sent their own subjects. Among them, 20 women scientists from 14 countries, along with Joshi and Pandey, received the OWSD Early Career Fellowship.
Under the Fellowship provided by the OWSD, the funds they have to spend on study research at their institution will be spent. The amount received by the Nepalese female scientists for research has been reported to be the highest so far. Dr. Both Prasai and Pandey have said that they will work as a result of spending the money on equipment and research.
