Tribhuvan University's Research Directorate in Kirtipur is now accepting research proposals for the 2080/081 fiscal year. This call is in line with the approved budget and is aimed at fostering academic excellence and promoting collaborative research.

Collaborative Research Project:
- Total Grants Available: 5

Thesis/Dissertation Research Grant:
- Doctorate (PhD) Dissertation Research: 18 Grants
- General Dissertation Research (MPhil): 5 Grants
- Post Graduate Dissertation Research: 50 Grants
Submission Guidelines:
- Proposals should adhere to the research standards and guidelines set in 2078.
- Detailed information on research types, proposal format, and evaluation methods can be found on the TU website: www.tu.edu.np.
- Submit three hard copies and one digital copy of the research proposal to the directorate by 4:00 PM on 2080/06/25.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Collaborative Research Project:
- Post-graduation students in the third or fourth semester or third-year students with a minimum SGPA of 3.0 from the previous semester.
- MPhil students in their second semester or thesis year.
- Undergraduate students with permanent registration.
For Thesis/Dissertation Grant Project:
- Obtain prior approval from the university.
- MPhil students and post-graduate students currently engaged in research at the university are eligible.
Important Notes:
- Proposals should be original and not submitted elsewhere.
- Proposals from researchers who have received grants from the University Grants Commission, the Dean's Office, or other university bodies, or those on study leave, will not be accepted.
- Those who have previously received dissertation research grants from other agencies are ineligible.
- Proposals for Nepali and other linguistic subjects, other than English, must be written in English.
