Tribhuvan University Awards for Outstanding Research Work
The Tribhuvan University, Office of the Rector, Coordination Division is pleased to announce the 64th annual Tivas of Trimuwan University. This prestigious event recognizes exceptional research work and awards outstanding students who have excelled in their respective fields of study. The awards carry both cash prizes and certificates, and interested students are encouraged to submit their applications within the specified timeframe.
Important Information:
- To be eligible for the awards, students must fulfill the prescribed criteria and submit the required documents to the Dean's office within 15 days of the notification's publication.
- The applications received within the specified timeframe will be forwarded by the Dean's Offices to the Coordination Division with recommendations.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered, and research papers submitted with the application will be returned to the applicants.
- The final decision regarding the awards will be reserved by Tribhuvan University.
Krishnachandra Regmi Award, Quota-1:
- Students from the Faculty of Science and Technology Studies, Humanities and Sociology, Management, Pedagogy, and Law are eligible.
- The research work (thesis) should focus on subjects related to Nepal.
- Cash prize: Rs. 5,000/- along with a certificate.
Mahesh Chandra-Mandevi Regmi Award, Quota-1:
- Students from the Faculty of Humanities and Sociology are eligible.
- The research work (thesis) should be on the subject of "Economics or History."
- Cash prize: Rs. 20,001/- along with a certificate.
Babukranna Rizal Award, Quota-1:
- Students from the Faculty of Humanities and Sociology are eligible.
- Candidates should have passed the Master's level with excellent research work (thesis) on the subject of "Nepali History, Culture, and Archaeology."
- Cash prize: Rs. 25,001/- along with a certificate.
BeluBishweshwar Chataut Memorial Prize, Quota - 2:
- Two awards are available in the fields of Linguistics and Journalism.
- Participants in the convocation program of 2079 who have obtained the best marks in the regular final exam conducted by TU in Linguistics or Journalism from the Faculty of Humanities and Sociology's Anglican Campus are eligible.
- Alternatively, students who are eligible and enrolled in the grace list are also eligible.
- Cash prize: Rs. 25,000/- along with a certificate.
- Students applying for this award are not required to submit a thesis.
Application Process:
- Interested students must submit two copies of their thesis, personal details, passport-size photograph, photocopy of citizenship, and educational qualification certificates (post-graduation) to the Dean's office related to their study.
- A letter from the concerned campus/office should accompany the application.
- The applications must be received within 15 days from the date of publication of the notification.
- Students applying for the BeluBishweshwar Chataut Memorial Prize must submit proof of admission from the concerned campus.
