Scholarship of the well-known National Medical Education Act 2075 has come into action. The provision of the Act came into force for the first time, with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology calling for a 75 percent free scholarship under medical education for the first time as per the provision of the Act.
The scholarship branch of the ministry has called for the scholarship application, stating that the scholarship will be determined on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination of those levels.
The notice states that according to the "National Medical Education Act 2075" 75 percent of free scholarship seats have been set up and the qualification for nominating 20 percent in foreign investment education institutions affiliated with the University of Kathmandu and 20 percent from abroad will be maintained.
Due to the passing of the entrance test, a minimum of 50 percent marks can be applied for the scholarship and the application has been kept online till Kartik 20.
Now at the MBBS and BDS level, Tribhuvan University Medical Studies Institute Maharajganj, Patan Health Sciences Academy Patan, BP Koirala Health Sciences Academy Dharan will provide 7a 5 percent scholarship.
Similarly, Manipal Medical College Pokhara and College of Medical Sciences, Chitwan Bharatpur, with similar foreign investment, will have to give a 20 percent scholarship of the total seat number. The remaining medical colleges have a provision of a 10 percent scholarship.
Recently, the Medical Education Commission had fixed a new fee for the graduation of medical education. Under the Graduate Level of Medical Education for the new academic session 2076/77, the fee was fixed by the Commission for the MBBS and BDS programs for the MBBS study within the valley for Rs 40 lakh 23 thousand 250 rupees and Rs 44 lakh 36 thousand 25 rupees outside the valley.
Similarly, for BDS in and out of the valley, Rs. 20 lakh 19 thousand 580 were allotted. Earlier, there were Rs 38 lakh 50 thousand for the MBBS level within the valley and Rs 42 lakh 45 thousand outside the valley and Rs 19 lakh 32 thousand 612 for the BDS. There has been an increase of around Rs two lakh for the MBBS level and around one lakh for the BDS level.
