Matri Sewa Pratisthan Nepal Awarded 'Karmabhoomi Scholarship' to 125 Poor and Needy Students

Matri Sewa Pratisthan Nepal has distributed 'Karmabhoomi Scholarship' for technical education to 125 poor and needy students in Kaski. The foundation had earlier awarded 'Rambhadevi Scholarship' to 104 students of Palpa under the management of Palpali Samaj Pokhara.

In the second phase, scholarships worth Rs. Accordingly, 55 students from Pokhara, 21 from Rupa, 24 from Annapurna, 16 from Madi, and 9 from Machhapuchhre have received the scholarship.

Scholarships of Rs 3.6 million each have been provided for students of each ward of Kaski at the rate of Rs 50,000 and Rs 300,000 for Dalit students. Although the first installment of the scholarship was given to the students earlier, the second installment was handed over to the concerned educational institution due to corona risk, said Chairman Thapa. According to him, in the first phase, 19 lakh 27 thousand 500 scholarships were provided in Kaski.

Hari Prasad Pandey, a senior industrialist and social activist and founder of Matri Sewa Pratisthan Nepal, who is also a former minister, said that out of 183 students who applied for the scholarship, 125 were selected, including 84 female students and 41 male students.

He handed over the second phase of the scholarship in Palpa to the concerned campus of Palpa, and to the school, a grant of Rs. 2,147,500 to the outgoing president of the Czech society, Ghimire.

Ghimire said that scholarships worth Rs 4,050,000 have been provided to 104 students of Palpa. The foundation has also given scholarships of Rs. 225,000 to 9 blind people of Mandavya Multiple Campus.

Poor and hardworking students from Born in Palpa and who work in Kaski have been given scholarships for technical education including health, medicine, engineering, agriculture, veterinary and hotel management.
