Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Office of the Municipal Executive Important Announcement: Provision of Scholarships for Classes up to 10
In compliance with the Compulsory and Free Education Act, 2075, Education Regulations, 2050, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Management Regulations, 2074, all institutional schools within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City are required to allocate at least 10% of their seats as scholarships.
Compliance Requirements
- Mandated Action: Institutional schools must provide at least 10% scholarships for classes up to 10.
- Deadline: Schools that have not yet submitted their scholarship details must do so within 3 days.
- Submission Link: Provide the required information via the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Department portal: Education Department Link.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
- Schools failing to submit the required details within the given timeframe will be marked as closed and deemed non-operational for the academic session 2081.
- Parents will be advised not to enroll their children in such schools and to transfer them to other institutions.
- Schools that do not adhere to the scholarship provision requirements will face strict legal actions as per the prevailing laws.
