Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Urban Planning Commission, Bagmati Province, Kathmandu, Nepal Notice regarding Call for Applications for Metropolitan Research Fellowship Program 2023
Kathmandu Metropolitan City, in coordination with the Urban Planning Commission, this Metropolitan City is going to conduct the Metropolitan Research Fellowship Program 2023 as the third edition of the research scholarship program called Metropolitan Research Fellowship 2079.
Policy research related to the various dimensions of the overall development of Kathmandu Metropolitan City with the aim of helping this metropolitan city to make evidence-based policy and action-oriented research to identify projects related to urban development. Interested Nepali researchers who have reached the specified qualifications to participate in this ongoing program are invited to submit a research proposal within 35 (thirty-five) days from the date of publication of this notice.
Research proposals related to Kathmandu Metropolitan City can be submitted on any of the following topics or similar topics:
(a) History, Art, Culture, Tradition
(b) Language, Literature
(c) Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Transport, Physical Infrastructure
(d) Demographic, sociological or anthropological studies
(e) Education, Social Development, Youth, Social Campaign Health, Standard of Living
(f) Local economic development, urban finance, entrepreneurship, human resource development
(g) Urban informal sector, poverty, unauthorized settlement
(h) Environment, sustainable development, disaster management, climate change
(i) Law, Governance
(j) Information and communication, new thinking, etc.
Minimum educational qualification and experience: Passed master's degree in relevant subject 2 (Two years of research, teaching or related work experience.
Number: Maximum 10 (ten) people,
Research period: Six (6) months,
Service facilities and conditions: As specified, the applicant must verify and register himself within 35 (thirty-five) days (office time) from the date of publication of this notice at the office of the application commission.
