Full Scholarships for 100 Students of Devi Secondary School Jhapa Announced by Mewar University

Students studying at Devi Secondary School Birtamod will get a full scholarship for higher education studies at Mewar University in India. The University in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India is going to provide full scholarships to 100 Nepalese students every year, 50 who have passed class 10 and 50 who have passed class 12. For this, an agreement has been reached between Devi Secondary School and Mewar University.

Teacher Umesh Sah informed that there is an understanding between Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiyar and Principal Ambika Shrestha who came to Devi Secondary School located in Birtamode 5. The chancellor of Mewar University, Dr. Gadia, announced that a 100 percent scholarship will be given to 100 students studying in Devi Secondary School. Dr. Gadia said that 50 students who have passed Class 10 will be given a scholarship worth Rs 50 lakh every year and 50 students who have passed Class 12 will be given a scholarship worth Rs 1 crore.

He said that if the meritorious students studying in the school want to go to any country of the world to study higher education, Mewar University will provide scholarships and send them to study. Dr. Gadia said that Meward University is currently providing scholarships in collaboration with universities in 20 countries around the world.

According to Dr Gadia, most of the children of low income parents study in public schools and Mewar University is providing scholarships for poor and meritorious students in order to prevent the creation of a situation where the children of such parents are deprived of education due to lack of financial resources. It is said that students from 20 countries of the world and 29 states of India come to study in Mewar University.

It is said that eleven thousand students are studying in this school. 90 percent of them are from poor families, said Dr. Gadia. He said that the students who went on scholarship will also provide employment in their own companies if they want employment. Dr. Gadia, who is also the president of Mewar Institute of Management, said that despite being a government (community) school, Devi Secondary School is providing quality education.

He said that there are so many students studying in this school because the quality of education is good.

There are about 4,000 students currently studying in Devi Secondary School. It is accredited by the University of Mewar. It is accredited by NAAC, a member of the Association of Indian Universities.
