CTEVT Free Classified Scholarship for PCL Level 2081

Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Examination Control Office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur Notice for filling online application forms for the classified (free) scholarship quota entrance examinations for the Diploma and Certificate levels for the academic session 2081/082.

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Examination Control Office, announces the necessity for submitting online application forms for admission in the following educational programs at the Diploma and Certificate levels for the academic session 2081/082. Eligible Nepali citizens who have passed SLC/SEE/Pre-Diploma from government, community, and council-affiliated educational institutions are invited to apply for admission in the classified (free) scholarship quota at affiliated, partnership, technical, and private educational institutions that have received affiliation/approval from the council. The forms must be submitted properly by Friday, 4th of Shrawan 2081. This notice is published for the information of all concerned.

Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications must pay the entrance examination fee online, prioritize the provinces and educational institutions for study, and select the districts for the examination centers while filling the online application form.

1. Information regarding classified (free) scholarships:

Scholarships will be provided to Nepali citizens based on the approved quota for admission in Diploma and Certificate levels at council-affiliated, partner, community, and private educational institutions, as per the approved quota in each educational program.

Scholarship details: Classified (Free):

  • 20 in each academic program of sanctioned quota: 1
  • 30 in each academic program of sanctioned quota: 2
  • 40 in each academic program of sanctioned quota: 3
  • 48 in each academic program of sanctioned quota: 3

Council-level control division, Polytechnic division, and community schools offering technical education (TECS) through affiliation/approval from the council will have the following classified (free) scholarship quotas in the programs conducted by the educational institutions as per the decision of the council office.

Each educational institution affiliated, partnered, and community schools of the council, and the private institutions that have received approval to conduct technical education programs for the academic session 2081/082, must maintain a minimum qualification for enrollment. According to section 14 of the scholarship guidelines, the total number of seats allocated should be divided into two groups: 50-50% for general and targeted categories, providing free (classified) scholarships to the specified number of students mentioned in section 5(G).

(a) General Group: Seats reserved for the general group will maintain 100% of the allocated seats, providing free (classified) scholarships to eligible Nepali citizens.

(b) Targeted Group: Seats reserved for the targeted group will be allocated as mentioned in the guidelines for those who meet the specific qualifications, providing free (classified) scholarships to the eligible Nepali citizens from the targeted categories.

1. If a student is unable to study in the designated program, they will not be provided with the specified scholarship.
2. Students who receive scholarships from the council must serve in the designated location as required by the Nepal government after completing their studies and submitting an application in the specified format.
3. Any student enrolled in such educational programs must not receive more than one scholarship, either from the council or other governmental bodies.
4. Students who falsify documents to receive a scholarship will have their registration canceled, and they will not be allowed to participate in any council examinations for five years.
5. Students recommended for scholarships must not pay any fees for regular exams, library, lab facilities, and necessary transportation. They must, however, arrange their own accommodation, food, and necessary stationery.
6. Students recommended for classified (free) scholarships cannot change their program after being enrolled.

Note: The provisions regarding the training programs and necessary minimum academic qualifications are to be adhered to as per the guidelines for the entrance examinations.

2. Educational programs and the minimum required academic qualifications for training.

(a) In the case of the Entrance Examination after the implementation of the grading system:

All other Diploma/ Certificate Level programs except Nursing/ Midwifery Passed SLC or equivalent with compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science subjects from a recognized educational institution, or if passed SLC, then at least 68.66% in total marks in the Technical SLC/ Pre-Diploma level program conducted by the council.

(b) In the case of the Entrance Examination after the implementation of the grading system

Educational Program Minimum Required Academic Qualification
For Health Programs Passed SEE or equivalent examination with compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects with a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent, or if conducted by the council, then at least 68.66% in total marks in the Technical SLC/ Pre-Diploma level program.
For all other programs except Health Programs Passed SEE or equivalent examination with compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects with a minimum GPA of 1.6 out of 4.0 or equivalent, or if conducted by the council, then at least 68.66% in total marks in the Technical SLC/ Pre-Diploma level program.

Instructions for Applying with Application Form and Necessary Documents

  1. How to Apply:

    • Applications must be filled out online through the official website within the prescribed time frame.
    • Applicants must upload scanned copies of the required documents along with the application form.
  2. Required Documents:

    • Nepali citizenship or birth certificate scanned copy.
    • Scanned copy of transcripts and certificates of the qualifying exam from the school or affiliated institution.
    • For students from government or community schools, a scanned copy of the recommendation letter from the respective District Education Office.
    • For applicants from the reserved categories (Dalit, Indigenous Nationalities, etc.), a scanned copy of the recommendation letter from the respective local government office.
    • For the disabled, scanned copy of the disability identity card issued by the relevant authority.
    • For applicants from remote areas, a recommendation letter from the local government confirming the remoteness of the area.
    • Passport-sized photo (35x45mm) and signature scan.
    • Scanned copies of other academic certificates or transcripts.
    • If any other document is required, it must be specified and uploaded in the application form.

  3. Deadline for Submitting Online Application Form: By 2081 Shrawan 4, 11:59 PM

  4. Entrance Exam Date: 2081 Shrawan 12, Saturday, 8:00 AM

  5. Exam Center: The exam center will be established at the location recommended by the council and provincial office. The name of the exam center will be published on 2081 Shrawan 6.

Note:

    • The council holds the right to amend or cancel the scholarship allocation as per the prevailing rules and regulations.
    • The scholarship will be revoked if any false information is found in the submitted documents.

Applicants must ensure that they fulfill all the specified criteria and submit the necessary documents within the stipulated time. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
