Call for Application Fellowship In Gastroenterology QiMET International: This is a call for application for Fellowship in Gastroenterology, for the year 2021. This is an international opportunity to do a Fellowship in Gastroenterology through QiMET International (QI). Quality improvement Medical Education and Training International (01) is a Medical Workforce Development organisation that seeks to provide a "Hybrid" Clinical and Leadership Education and Training programme for doctors seeking to develop their career in Gastroenterology and other clinical specialties.
FELLOWSHIP RECOGNITION:
· Royal College of Physicians, UK supports this Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
· MD Internal Medicine completed with Specialty Registration in Nepal Medical Council.
· Those who have ever attempted/passed PLAB are not eligible for this exam.
TRAINING SITE:
· 1st Year: Chitwan Medical College (CMC) in Nepal is the training site.
· 2nd and 3rd Year: Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital (DBTH) in UK is the training site. The trainee will go to DBTH, UK through the Medical Training Initiative (MTI) Pathway.
TRAINING PROCESS:
· The trainee will have to pass ARCP (Annual Review of Competency Progression) at the end of each academic year.
· The trainee will also have to undertake the F.RES (Fellowship in Research) study as part of the training program.
· The trainee will have to write a ten thousand-word thesis as part of the training program.
· At the end of three years, provided all criteria are fulfilled, the trainee will receive a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and an F.RES. QiMET International will award both these degrees.

FEES & STIPEND:
· Admission Fee: NPR. 1,00,000 ( One lakh NPR)
· 1st Installment (To be paid at the time of admission): NPR. 11, 50,000 (NPR. Eleven Lakhs Fifty Thousand)
· 2nd Installment: NPR.7,50,000 (NPR. Seven Lakhs Fifty Thousand) before the 1st ARCP in Nepal in September 2022
· 3rd Installment: NPR. 5,00,000 (NPR. Five lakhs) (equivalent to the pound as per pound conversion rate on the day of payment), to be paid in the UK during the 2 years of the training period.
· The trainee will receive a stipend of 36,000 NRS (Thirty-Six Thousand Nepali Rupees) per month at CMC
· The trainee will receive a stipend of £35,000 (Thirty Five thousand pounds) per annum plus banding, during the training period in DBTH.
COURSE START DATE: The training program will commence from November 15, 2021
Eligibility Criteria Of Applying MTI Application To Continue Fellowship In Gastroenterology Training In UK (2nd Year And 3rd Year Training):
· Hold a primary medical qualification - recognized by the GMC and verified by Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). E.g. MBBS or equivalent
· Have completed at least 3 years of postgraduate experience, including an internship, one year of experience as a medical officer and a minimum one year RCP recognized training programme.
· You need to have a postgraduate qualification [MRCP (UK)] Part 1, MD or other higher degree in medicine or a medical subspecialty.
· Be certified in at least one life support course - ALS (or RCEM recognized equivalence).
· Have achieved a minimum score of 7.0 in each section (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) of the academic module of the IELTS and an overall minimum score of 7.5. The test should have been taken within the last 2 years. Or
· Have achieved a grade of at least 'B' in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) of the Occupational English Test (OET)-medicine version. The test should have been taken within the last 2 years.
· At the end of first-year training in Nepal, trainees must be successful in their ARCP, before entering the MTI UK training. A panel of Consultants from RCP/NHS/CMC will conduct ARCP.
· Have an institutional sponsor specifying the post they will return to, in Chitwan Medical College.
