Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has announced a special scholarship program for free studies at diploma level for 80 local level students who have not had access to technical education due to budget and program constraints of the Government of Nepal for the financial year 2079/080. The announcement was made through a letter dated 10-24-2079 from the Technical Division of CTEVT.
To apply for the program, eligible Nepali citizens are invited to fill the application form and conduct the entrance examination for studying technical education.
The program offers two academic programs, namely Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science) and Diploma in Hotel Management. Shriram Mithila Polytechnic Institute, Bhojpur, and Nepal Banepa Polytechnic Institute, Banepa, Kavrepalanchok have been designated for the study programs with 40 quotas each.
To qualify for the entrance examination, the minimum qualification required is a pass in SLC or equivalent examination with compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science subjects from a recognized educational institution or 68.33 percent marks in the total marks of the relevant Technical SLC from the Council. Candidates who have passed Technical SLC (TSLC) with 68.33 percent marks in aggregate or scored 1.6 CGPA out of 4.0 overall with a minimum graded score of 1.6 CGPA in compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subject in SEE examination or equivalent from a recognized educational institution or related to the program conducted by the Council can also apply.
The application form can be downloaded from the website of the Examination Control Office www.ctevtexam.org.np. The submission locations for the application form differ according to the province and municipality. Eligible applicants from Province No. 1, Madhesh Pradesh, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province can submit the application form at the respective council offices or designated institutions.
The announcement urges eligible candidates who have not had access to technical education to apply for the scholarship program and take advantage of the opportunity to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

How to Apply
To apply for the special scholarship program for free studies at the diploma level offered by the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), eligible Nepali citizens must follow the application guidelines provided below:

- A copy of the citizenship certificate
- A copy of the academic transcript or mark sheet
- A copy of the character certificate from the last attended institution
