Admission in Army Public Schools (APS) in India Under APS Scholarship Scheme 2024-25
The Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepalese nationals (boys and girls) who wish to seek admission in Class VI to IX and XI in the following Army Public Schools:
- APS Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand): Class VI & XI (boys & girls)
- APS Dhaula Kuan (Delhi): Class VI to IX (boys only)
- APS Noida (UP): Class VI to IX (girls only)
2. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who wish to apply for the Army Public School Scholarship Scheme must fulfill the following criteria:
- Academic Requirements:
- Candidates applying for admission in class VI and onwards must have passed the previous class before applying for the next class.
- It is mandatory to submit a copy of the final mark sheet (of class V & onwards as the case may be) and a certificate (in original) from the Headmaster/Principal of the school where the candidate is studying regarding his/her current status. Therefore, appearing students are not eligible for seeking admission in the next higher class.
- Proficiency in English:
- Candidates must have good proficiency in English.
- Medical Fitness:
- Candidates must be medically fit.
3. Age Criteria:
Candidates should fulfill the following age criteria:

4. Instructions for Filling Up Application:
- Submission Period: January 15, 2024, to February 2, 2024
- Submission Time: 1030 hrs to 1230 hrs and 1500 hrs to 1700 hrs
- Application Fee: NRs. 400/- (Four Hundred only) to be deposited in favor of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Account Number 17725240200331 in Nepal SBI Bank, anywhere in Nepal.
Required Documents:
- Complete bio-data of the student in English with one photo (to be pasted in the space provided for the photo).
- Photocopy of the date of birth certificate issued by the Municipality and duly attested by Notary Public.
- Photocopy of the mark sheet of the last exam passed, duly attested by Notary Public.
- Photocopy of Citizenship of father and mother in English, duly attested by Notary Public.
- Certificate, in original, from the Headmaster/Principal of the school last attended, certifying that the student has passed the last exam from Government/Private school as the case may be and that he/she is proficient in English.
- Original Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Original Counterfoil of Bank Voucher of NPR 400/-.
- (The notarization of documents must be original. Photocopies of Notary attested documents will not be accepted.)
5. Selection Process:
- An English test and interview will be held at the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, to select meritorious and deserving students.
- Shortlisting of candidates for the English test and interview does not guarantee admission in APS unless their placement is confirmed by the respective APS in India.
