The Medical Education Commission has recently announced the results of the BDS integrated entrance exam (MECEE-BL 2023) conducted on Falgun 25th. According to the results, 2,463 candidates have qualified for BDS studies.
More students qualify than the number of seats allotted
The commission allocated 560 seats to 14 different educational institutions conducting the BDS educational program. However, 1,903 more students than the prescribed number of seats have qualified for the study, making it a record number.
Introduction of the 'percentile' system
The commission has been implementing the 'percentile' system since last year by revising the Integrated Entrance Examination Procedures, 2077. The percentile system was implemented after less than half of the number of seats allotted for the medical college were qualified for nursing, pharmacy and other subjects. Prior to this, only those who scored a minimum of 100 marks i.e. 50 percent marks in the 200 full marks examination were allowed to enroll in medical education.
Cancellation of exam for violating norms
The examination of one person who acted against the norms during the exam has been cancelled. Similarly, the answer sheets of 41 students who spoiled the bubble in the roll number in the answer book and 3 students who spoiled the bubble in both the question set and the roll number in the answer book have also been canceled.
Retake exam option
Candidates who are not satisfied with the results and want to retake the exam can submit their application through the email of the commission from 10 am on Chaitra 8th to 5 pm on Chaitra 10th.
