New Evaluation Method in SEE:
From this time, the theoretical and practical examinations will be evaluated separately in the mark sheet of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Theoretical and practical marks will be included separately in the certificate of the examination.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST) has stipulated that a minimum of 35 percent for theoretical and a minimum of 40 percent for practical should be implemented from this time.
The marks sheet will reach the hands of the students one/two weeks after the announcement of the results. Previously, the final result was published by integrating both theoretical and practical scores. According to the National Examination Board, different grades will be determined for practical and theoretical scores.
The GPA will be determined in the overall result of the examination by integrating the grades of all the subjects. The SEE result will be divided into eight grades according to the marks obtained by the examinees. According to the candidate's marks, those who score above 90 will be considered as 'A' plus grade, which will be given a GPA of 4.0. A score of 80 to 90 will be considered an 'A' grade, with a GPA of 3.6. Similarly, 70 to 80 marks will be considered as 'B' plus grade, which will be given a GPA of 3.2. A score of 60 to 70 will be considered a 'B' grade and will be assigned a GPA of 2.8.
50 to 60 marks will be considered as GPA 2.4 with 'C' plus grade. 40 to 50 marks will be considered 'B' plus grade and GPA 2.0 will be given. Similarly, 35 to 40 will be considered as 'D' grade and GPA 1.6 will be given.
Scores below 35 will not be counted in the grade. This group will not be placed in any grade group. Students belonging to this group will be considered ineligible for higher-level admissions after SEE.
