Addressing the nation on Friday, Prime Minister KP Oli has directed the closure of Long Distance public transport from March 23. The government has decided to ban long-haul public transport, saying there would be a risk of corona transmission in public transport.

Despite the ban on long-distance vehicles, the government has not made clear how long the distance will be considered. This has led to confusion among transport professionals and the general public.
