Visit Nepal 2020

The government has postponed the Visit Nepal 2020 Promotional Campaign as the coronavirus spreads worldwide. The cabinet meeting on Sunday evening decided to postpone the current visit Nepal 2020 promotional campaign.

According to the Cabinet, there is no decision on whether to postpone the visit to Nepal in the year 2022, but the source claims no decision has been made. "It has been decided to postpone the visit year-2020, concluding that other countries were also affected by the outbreak of China's outbreak of coronavirus," a Cabinet source said, adding that the risk of postponement of the tourism year and planning in 2022 is discussed.

Earlier on Saturday, the Tourism Ministry had canceled all the programs being planned abroad for the tour year.

The government has constituted a high-level coordination committee on the Corona Virus Prevention under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel.

Request not to have a meeting

The Ministry of Health has called for avoiding large meetings, conferences, and banquets, saying the risk of the coronary virus has increased. On Sunday, Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal called for a large press conference to minimize the risk of coronavirus by holding a press conference on Sunday.

Minister Dhakal said there was a discussion on stopping international flights while Coronavirus was rising worldwide. Stating that international flights were being cut in neighboring countries, he said, "We are also discussing immediate flights with some countries."

He also informed that the government will put extra manpower and a fever measuring machine in the health support cell of Tribhuvan Airport. "All travelers coming from countries where Corona has been infected with additional manpower and six machines will be examined," Dhakal said, adding that the ministry has also appointed doctors at Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi, the main borders for trade with China.

Stating that the government is preparing for three phases to prevent coronary infection, Minister Dhakal said, "Health care has already been arranged at the checkpoints at the entry points to Nepal as per the preparations for the first phase." He also informed that necessary beds were provided in the hospital to keep the infected Nepali.
