Visa Services for Foreign Nationals Resumes:

The visa service provided by the Department of Immigration to foreign nationals has been resumed after one month. As soon as the coronavirus infection was confirmed in the employees working in the department, the service, which was closed on August 14, started.

With the resumption of visa service, the department has stated that free visas will be provided to foreign tourists who have a regular visa by March 21, if they return home within 15 days from the date of commencement of international flights.

Ram Chandra Tiwari, director of the department, informed a free visa will be issued from the immigration office at the international airport and the immigration office at the border.

According to him, the tourist visa has been regularized till March 21 and the foreigners who can return to their homeland even though the flight was operated for various reasons are preparing to regularize the tourist visa by mid-November as per the rules. He informed that those who want to convert tourist visas or other visas will get their visa renewed free of cost within 15 days without incurring penalty and delay charges.

According to him, tourists who have regular tourist visas till March 21 last year for a period of five months (from March 10 to August 14 - 150 days) even if they have free visas; After August 14, they will be able to regularize the service by paying the fee till December 14.

Immigration Department Non-resident Nepali and non-tourist visa, which used to be issued only from Kalikasthan, will now also be issued from Jhapa and Pokhara.

Passport and renewal services will be provided from Immigration Office Kakarbhitta Jhapa and Pokhara Kaski, said Director Tiwari. According to him, a limited number of international flights have been resumed and a limited number of staffs are providing daily services
