Tribhuvan University to Conduct All Postponed Exams after Chhath:
Tribhuvan University (TU) is preparing to conduct examinations that were postponed due to Covid-19. A meeting of the TU Executive Council, Examination Reform and Coordination Council, and the Central Examination Steering Committee on Tuesday decided to direct the concerned offices to prepare for conducting the postponed examination immediately after Chhath.
According to Pushparaj Joshi, Controller of Examinations, Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), TU has been instructed to start the preparation of the examination immediately after Chhath with the alternative arrangement of giving the examination to the students from the appropriate place. TU has already written to the concerned Dean's Office to make public the schedule of the examination ten years in advance so that all the examinations stopped due to Covid-19 will be held immediately. TU has stated that the exams with Few numbers of students will be held between Dashain and Tihar.
"In the current situation, we are preparing to take the exam after Chhath," he said. He informed that the TU Office of the Controller of Examinations will issue a circular to all the Dean's Offices today to start the preparation for the examination.
TU will arrange for examinations based on physical distance and health criteria. The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) will conduct the annual examination and the concerned Dean's Office will conduct the semester examination. TU Registrar Prof. Dr. Peshal Dahal informed that the concerned offices have been instructed to prepare for conducting all the postponed examinations.
"We have instructed all the concerned offices to make necessary preparations for the conduct of the examination immediately after Chhath," he said. We have asked the students to take the exam physically. ” TU is still conducting a low number of examinations. He said that the examination will be conducted first and then other examinations will be conducted.
Similarly, even if we discuss doing the virtual exam of the TU semester, we will not do it now. Controller of Examinations, Joshi, said that even though some dean's offices would make the semester system examination virtual, now the examination would be conducted by making the students physically present. Due to Kovid-19, some universities have taken open books and taken exams through virtual methods.
Registrar Prof. Dr. Dahal informed he is preparing to conduct studies from the upcoming Falgun / Chaitra after completing all the examinations till Magh. Due to Covid-19, all the examinations conducted from Chaitra of TU have been postponed. TU is still conducting examinations with very low physical distance.
