Tribhuvan University Plans to Conduct Exam in Mangsir:
The annual examination of Tribhuvan University (TU) will be held after Dashain. According to Pushparaj Joshi, Controller of Examinations, TU Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), preparations have been made to conduct the examination after Dashain as the annual examination was not possible immediately due to the infection of Covid-19 started increasing.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has given the responsibility of conducting the annual examination itself and the responsibility of the semester examination to the concerned Dean's Office. Earlier, TUOCE was preparing to conduct the annual exam from the 16th Bhadra from the first semester and the first week of Ashoj after the lockdown. "In the current situation, it is not easy to take any exam before Dashain," he said.
According to him, the preparations will be made for the examination from the Mangsir 15th or 20th. TUOCE is preparing to conduct the exam from Mangsir 20 to Chaitra. Comptroller Joshi informed there would be no impact on the academic calendar after the completion of all the remaining examinations up to Chaitra. The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) aims to complete the four-year educational program in 48 months. At present, those four-year educational programs are completed in 45 to 46 months.
Controller of Examinations, Joshi, said that discussions will be held on how to conduct the examination after the dean's office submits the report including the outline of the semester system examination. "There is talk of taking the exam through virtual means," he said. He said that the examination through the virtual medium was not possible at the level where there were many students in the semester system.
