Tribhuvan University Introduces PGD Education Program as an Alternative to One-Year BEd
Kathmandu, December 21, 2023 – Tribhuvan University, a leading academic institution in Nepal, has recently announced the launch of a new academic program. The University's Faculty of Education Dean's Office is now accepting admissions for its innovative Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education, positioned as an alternative to the traditional one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Program Structure and Duration
The PGD Education course is designed to be conducted over three semesters, adhering to a semester system. This format offers a comprehensive and structured approach to postgraduate education studies.
Wide Range of Subjects and Accessibility
According to the Dean's Office, the program will encompass 14 subjects, providing a diverse range of educational disciplines. It will be accessible across 13 different campuses throughout the country, including the Tribhuvan University Central Campus. This widespread availability ensures that a larger number of students can benefit from the program.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to students who have completed their graduation in any subject. This broad eligibility criterion aims to attract a diverse group of candidates with various academic backgrounds.
Admission Details
For those interested in joining the first semester of the PGD Education program for the academic session of 2080/81, the application period is set from 6 Poush 2080 to 11 Magh 2080. The University has scheduled the entrance exam for 14 Magh 2080, with classes commencing on 21 Magh 2080.
