Tribhuvan University Decided to Conduct Exam at the Convenient Time:
Tribhuvan University (TU) has decided to take the written examination of the students at a convenient time and to promote the students studying in the semester to the upper class.
The university has decided not to waste the academic session of the students and to continue the teaching from the online class. The university's academic council has paved the way for such a move after seeing that the exams previously suspended due to Corona could not be held immediately.
Prada Dilliram Sharma, a member of the TU Academic Council and Dean of the Faculty of Management, said that the students of all the faculties and institutes studying in the semester would not stop studying and the academic session would not be wasted. This decision will be applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate students of humanities, management, pedagogy and law faculties and medical, engineering, science, agriculture, forest studies institutes. This has paved the way for millions of university students to study in the upper classes.
The dean's office has informed that the way has been opened for the students to take the exam after some time as it is not possible to take the exam immediately due to the coronavirus. As many campuses outside the valley have also gone for semester system, many students will benefit from it and the educational program of the university will also get continuity. The information has been given to the concerned campus and it is said that the class will start soon.
Earlier, the university had decided to start the exams from the third week of August and postpone the exams a decade before the coronavirus condition returned to normal. After that, the university had planned to conduct regular examinations, but the university has opened a new path after the decision could not be implemented.
In addition, the online classes currently being operated by the university will also get formal recognition. Now the online class will be made effective, said Dean Sharma. Even though online classes were conducted on various campuses of the university and in the central department, its legitimacy could not be decided.
Balram Thapa, Campus Chief of Public Youth Campus in the capital, informed that after the decision of the Academic Council, the classes of various semesters at undergraduate and postgraduate levels will now move forward and the campus will start preparations for that. According to TU, second, fourth, sixth, and eighth-semester classes will be conducted in BBA for undergraduate in management. The way is also open for students to study in the third semester towards MBS in Management.
Although TU later decided to take the student to the upper class to take the exam, many students of the faculty studying there have not been able to benefit from it. BBS in Management, BEd in Education, and Bachelor of Humanities students will not be able to benefit immediately. These subjects have been operating on an annual basis.
Sharma, a member of the TU Academic Council, said there were problems with many students studying and advancing educational programs on campus. The campus will be able to conduct online classes. In the case of those students, it is said that they have to wait for the normal situation.
