Tribhuvan University Changed Academic Session for Bachelor and Master Level:
The academic session of the Bachelor and Master level of Tribhuvan University is going to be changed. The university has come to the conclusion of changing the academic session after the physical classes and examinations could not be conducted for more than 10 months due to the coronavirus.
According to the university's preparations, the bachelor level academic session will now start from the month of Falgun. Earlier, the university had the rule to start Bachelor level studies from the month of Mangsir, but it had to be postponed for three months, said Prof. Dr. Shivlal Bhusal, the head of education of the university.
From next year, Bachelor level academic session will be considered as Fagun. This year too, the study institutes and faculties under the university are going to publish the student admission program based on Falgun. The university is preparing to complete the annual examination in 12 months after completing 10 months of regular study.
In addition, the university is going to start a new academic session at the master level from the end of April. Earlier, the post-graduate academic session was started in Chait, but now they are preparing to start the academic session only from Baishakh, said Bhusal.
Currently, the university is conducting annual examination programs at the bachelor level. Based on this, he said, the situation is such that the master's level academic session will reach Baishakh.
The university has informed that there is a need to change the academic session at the master level for only one and a half months.
