Tribhuvan University has canceled the affiliation of 25 campuses. The affiliation of 25 campuses under TU has been canceled, according to the TRI Planning Directorate. Earlier, there were 1,085 campuses under TU.
According to Ram Krishna Khatri, branch officer of Tribhuvan University Planning Directorate, 10 campuses have been merged into Far Western University and 15 campuses into Midwestern University. In addition, 1,061 campuses are affiliated under TU.
According to TU, Bageshwari Multiple Campus Kohalpur, Babai Multiple Campus Gulariya, Narayan Campus Dailekh, Bheri Gyanodaya Campus Jajarkot, Jaljala Campus Libang, Musikot Khalanga Campus Rukum, Bheri Education Campus Surkhet, Vidyapur Janata Multiple Campus Surkhet, Tila Karnali Multiple, Tila Karnali Multiple Mugu, Janata Multiple Campus Achham's affiliation has been canceled.
Similarly, the affiliation of Patan Multiple Campus Baitadi, Jagannath Multiple Campus Baitadi, Manilekh Campus Baitadi, Jaya Prithvi Multiple Campus Bajhang, Badimali Campus Bajura, Bajura Campus Bajura, Darchula Multiple Campus Darchula has been canceled.
Similarly, Gokuleshwar Multiple Campus Gokuleshwar, Tikapur Multiple Campus Kailali, Triveni Multiple Campus Dadeldhura, Durgalakshmi Multiple Campus Kailali, Ghanteshwar Seti Mahakali Multiple Campus Doti, Shree Sitaram Campus Doti, and Kailali Multiple Campus Kailali have been disbanded. Those campuses had applied to the Far Western University and the Midwestern University under the auspices of the Tribhuvan University.
Yogendra Prasad Dahal, Information Officer of the TU Information and Public Relations Division, said that the number of affiliated campuses under TU has decreased with the cancellation of the affiliation of the campuses affiliated to TT.
