Taking over the post on Friday, Mayor of Tilottama Municipality Ram Krishna Khan has decided to increase the amount of lunch by paying special attention to the education, health, and nutrition of the children connected with the future of the country.
The mayor has started his tenure by signing the decision of the municipality to provide 10 rupees for lunch for the children studying up to class 8 to improve the health and nutrition condition of the children and increase the quality of education. The government currently provides 15 rupees per student for lunch to children studying in community schools.
After the municipality will provide additional 10 rupees in Tilottama, children studying up to 8th class will now get lunch worth 25 rupees daily. The mayor expressed confidence that the decision would increase the number of children attending community schools and improve their health and nutrition.
Mayor Khan Said "The future of our children is connected with the future of the country. It is our responsibility to keep them healthy by protecting them from malnutrition along with quality education. Therefore, the municipality has decided to increase the current 15 rupees provided by the government by 10 rupees to 25 rupees for the lunch expenses of the children studying up to 8th class".
