This year's BP Koirala Smriti Sahitya Samman Award to Gyanmani Nepal:
Jananayaka BP Koirala Memorial Trust has decided to give this year's BP Sahitya Samman Award to senior writer and historian Gyanmani Nepal. The decision was taken by the consensus committee of the trust members Dr. Dhubra Chandra Gautam and Sushilman Sherchan under the coordination of the treasurer Purushottam Basnet.
The amount of the award is ninety-one thousand. These awards will be presented at a special function to be held in Kathmandu on the occasion of BP Jayanti on the 24th of Bhadra.
The Trust has been awarding BP Sahitya Samman Award and Senani Samman Award on the occasion of BP Jayanti every year since 2071 BS. Earlier in 2071 BS BP Sahitya Samman Senior Sahityakar late. Ratnashamsher Thapa and BP fighter honors were conferred on Nritan Thapaliya.
Similarly, BP Sahitya Samman was awarded to Gopal Parajuli in 072 BS and Senani Samman to late. It was given to Taranath Koirala. In 2073 BS, Sahitya Samman Award was given to Bhuvan Dhungana and Shyamlal Shrestha.
In 2074 BS, Prada Abhi Subedi and Fighter of the Year awards were given to Tirtharaj Chaitu of Dang. Similarly, in 2075 BS, Rochak Ghimire turned to literature and Prajatantra Senani Samman late. Chakra Prasad was provided to Bastola.
In the year 2076 BS, BP Literary Award was given to Til Bikram Newang (Bairagi Kahila) and Prajatantra Senani Samman to Madhukant Singh.
