There is No New Book in Tribhuvan University Central Library

Every day new books are launching in the market. Courses are changing from time and again. However, Tribhuvan University Central Library has said that it has not been able to buy a new book for two years. After the public Procurement laws apply, the library officer has said that a new book could not buy.

The annual budget is Rs. 10 million in the library to purchase books and leaflets. Assistant Administrator Purna Lal Shrestha said, 'The book has not been bought from the international market for two years due to the public procurement law.' There are 39 Central Department, 4 Research Centers, and 9 Dean of Tribhuvan University.

There are 61 constituent campuses and 1085 affiliated campus and Two thousand seven hundred courses in all faculties of Tribhuvan University. Old subjects are changed after the semester system is implemented. The new course is going to apply.

The Central Library should provide textbooks and reference material books available in the recommendation of the Central Department and Dean Office.

According to the annual calendar of the university, students will be admitted to Chaitra, Baishakh, when the second quarter of the financial year is completed, "said Purna Lal Shrestha, adding that the department and the Dean office should demand a list of textbooks and reference books.

According to the rules, a book should be bought for the amount of Rs. 3 lakhs.  The book purchase process has been delayed due to the law and regulations. The library itself can buy only 25,000 books.

Tribhuvan University shortlisted booksellers, distributors, goods suppliers every year. Only listings can be treated. There are 10 only books sold by Trilogy, publishing institution.

'The listed buyer, the distributor, cannot provide the international standard of the book, the journal, according to the requirement,' said administrator Shrestha, 'The same seller does not sell the books of all subjects and cannot provide them.' The Central Library was purchased by the International Library by giving advance payments till the year 2073/74.

Journal and books have not been able to provide the same buyer after the accusation in legal provision in India.
