The government has fixed the salary of the court staff. The salary of the Chief Justice and Judge is as per the decision of the Government of Nepal on July 21, 2019 (4th Bhadra 2076).
According to the Finance Ministry Budget and Program Division, the new salary has been implemented for the Chief Justice, the Attorney General, the members of the judiciary, the officers of the constitutional bodies, the judges of the high and district courts, the general secretary of the federal parliament and the officials of the National Information Commission.
The salary of the Chief Justice is fixed at Rs 86,950 a month and the judge is fixed at Rs 71,950. The Attorney General and members of the Judiciary also have Rs 71 thousand 50.
The chief officer of the constitutional body has Rs 68 thousand 1 hundred 80 rupees and the official 64 thousand 4 hundred 20 rupees. The Chief Judge of the High Court has 68 thousand one hundred 80 rupees and the high court judge has 64 thousand 4 hundred 20 rupees. The district judge has Rs 54 thousand 4 hundred 30.
The Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission has Rs 68 thousand One hundred 80 rupees and the Information Commissioner has Rs 64 thousand 4 hundred 20. Similarly, the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament has 65 thousand one hundred 40 rupees and the secretary 60 thousand 6 hundred 80 rupees.
