The British Professional College (BPC), sister College of The British College (TBC), is very proud to announce that Riya Manandhar, an ACCA student who ranked first in the world for her exam results in December 2021, has once again achieved World Topper status.
At just 19 years old, Riya Manandhar achieved the highest mark worldwide for her paper on Performance Management (PM), receiving 91% in the ACCA March 2022 examinations. This follows from her success the previous year, in which she received 98% in her Taxation paper, also making her first in the World. As a result, she has received £200 prize money and a certificate of merit from ACCA. In addition, she has also received a world topper scholarship from the college.
The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) programme is the largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body in the world. With over 535,000 students and 233,000 fully qualified members spread across 179 countries worldwide, it is a globally recognised body. So, by ranking first in her exams, Riya has received higher marks than thousands of students completing the same papers across the globe.
When asked about what helped her to achieve such success, Riya said, “I joined TBC for the ACCA programme primarily because of the world class facilities and reputation of the tutors here”. She said of her experience that, “Students get all kinds of support during their journey towards ACCA at BPC” and credited the tutors who supported her throughout her preparation towards examinations.
In response, the ACCA Programme Manager at BPC, Dipendra K Shrestha, has said of her achievements, “The ACCA course here at the British College has a fantastic reputation in Nepal. Our students regularly win national prizes and Riya follows Rejika Maharjan in achieving World Topper status. We are very proud of her".
