In an applaudable gesture, the Tamakosi Rural Municipality in Dolakha has recognized the exceptional contributions of students, teachers, and schools within its domain. As part of its endeavor to bolster the educational sector, the municipality has extended its gratitude to these deserving individuals and institutions.

Rewarding Academic Excellence among Students

Among the students honored, Prashant Pokharel from Golmeshwar Secondary School and Narayani Secondary School distinguished himself by receiving a cash award along with commendation certificates. These accolades were bestowed based on their excellent evaluation performance. Anupa Pokharel, also from the same schools, was similarly honored with a certificate and a cash award.

Appreciating Teachers for Outstanding Results

The municipality also expressed its appreciation towards teachers who have achieved impressive results in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The list of esteemed educators includes Santosh Karki, Lakshmi Phuyal, Kedarkumar Khadka of Narayani Secondary School, Tejsingh Bhandari of Siddeshwar Secondary School, and Saroj Koirala and Sabita Pokharel of Kalapani Secondary School. These educators received a certificate and a cash award of 10,000 rupees, as per Menuka Baskota, the head of the education branch of Tamakosi Rural Municipality.

Furthermore, Menuka Baskota revealed that nine remarkable teachers at the basic level received commendation certificates along with a cash prize of 8,000 rupees.

Honoring Schools for Excellence in Education

On the institutional level, Narayani Secondary School, excelling at the secondary level, was awarded a cash prize of 50,000 rupees along with a commendation certificate. Other notable awardees include Sitapaila Secondary School and Ganesh Basic School, who received a certificate and cash prizes of 40,000 and 20,000 rupees respectively.

Encouraging Healthy Competition

In the words of Shrijan Subedi, the vice president of the rural municipality, the intention behind these awards was not only to honor those with exceptional performance but also to stimulate a healthy competitive spirit among other teachers, students, and schools. The hope is that these recognitions will inspire them to strive for academic excellence.

Subedi further expressed that the awards also aim to motivate teachers to deliver more effective education and encourage students to continue their academic pursuits. Looking ahead, the rural municipality plans to continue this program of honor in the upcoming fiscal year, instilling a culture of academic excellence and commitment to education.
