Student Enrollment Doubles at Tribhuvan University's Birendra Multiple Campus Chitwan
The number of students at Birendra Multiple Campus, a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, has doubled.
In the year 2077 B.S., three thousand four hundred students were studying at this campus. Currently, this number has exceeded seven thousand.
According to Campus Chief Dayaram Paudel, the attraction of students has significantly increased after the introduction of new subjects at the campus.
The campus has been offering bachelor's and master's level education in the faculties of Humanities, Science, Management, and Education.
In the bachelor's level under Management, courses like BBA and BBS are being taught.
Under Science, programs such as B.Sc., B.Sc. CSIT, BIT, B.Sc. Zoology, and Microbiology are being offered. In Education, subjects like BS and BICTE are being taught.
In the master's level, Science offers Physics and Chemistry, Management offers MBS, and Humanities offers Nepali, English, Economics, Sociology, and Population Education.
The campus is preparing to commence MCA and M.Ed. courses from this year. After starting new subjects, the campus has been able to become the first choice for students. Campus Chief Paudel said, "Since there are low fees and quality education, students do not go elsewhere as long as they get a quota here."
