Siddhartha Campus of Kapilvastu to be Developed as a Model for Lumbini Province
President Dammar Sharma has announced that Siddhartha Campus of Kapilvastu will be developed as a model for Lumbini Province, aiming to improve the quality of education. The move will put an end to the compulsion of students going to Rupandehi for higher education, as the campus will provide all the necessary courses.
New Board of Directors Elected to Ensure Quality Education
An 11-member board of directors, led by President Dammar Sharma, has been elected from the 12th meeting of the campus held in Bungchi, Banganga municipality. The board aims to ensure the provision of quality education and improve the campus's reputation. Vice-chairman Rabi Bahadur Kafle and members-secretary Suryakumari Shahi, Sumitra Ghimire, Devkala Subedi, Ganesh Bahadur Chhetri, Narayan Bhusal, Rajendra Shah, Kamal Chundali, Bhaggu Prasad Tharu, Chedi Tharu, and Campus Head Vedram are the members of the board. Additionally, Nil Kumar Tharu, the president of Swaviyu, is among the invited members.
Campus Offers Various Courses with UGC Certification
Siddhartha Campus was established in 2011 and has been providing education in humanities, management, and undergraduate and postgraduate courses. More than 1800 students are currently studying in the campus. The campus has received the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certification from the University Grants Commission in 2020, assuring the quality of education.
The decision to develop Siddhartha Campus of Kapilvastu as a model for Lumbini Province is a significant step towards improving the quality of education in the region. With the newly elected board of directors, the campus aims to offer better education opportunities and ensure the provision of quality education.
