Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha has instructed his subordinates to make arrangements to start the new academic session of the school level from 15 June 2021 (2078 Ashad 1) by conducting the examination of the students and publishing the results. Even though the classes are not conducted physically, the academic session of 2078 BS will start on Ashad 1 (June 15).
Minister Shrestha has instructed to move ahead and prepare for the new academic session even by arranging alternative methods. As per the decision of the government, the new academic session of students up to class 10 will start from June 15. As SEE is still in process, there are two groups in class 10, new and old.
According to the Minister's Secretariat, Minister Shrestha has also directed to make arrangements for publishing the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) soon. The National Examination Board (NEB) has stated that it is preparing to formulate a working procedure to clarify the internal evaluation of SEE and the working procedure will be issued within the month of June.
In addition to this, it has been decided to send a letter to the Council of Ministers through CCMC to deliver the new textbooks to the students along with the new academic session and make necessary arrangements for the transportation of the textbooks. Minister Shrestha has directed to implement the policies and programs announced by the government in the education sector in the current fiscal year from July 16. He also directed the officials of various bodies of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to formulate necessary procedures for the implementation of the Presidential Educational Reform Program launched by the government.
Meanwhile, Janak Education Materials Center has stated that the textbooks will be delivered to the students by mid-June if the necessary environment is created for easy transportation and sale of textbooks. He said that the books would be delivered to the students if they could easily arrange the sale and distribution of books for another week.
General Manager of the Center Anil Kumar Jha informed that the necessary books for this year have been printed and delivered to the state office and there is a problem in delivering the books to the schools at this time.
