School Adjustment in Gaindakot Municipality
On the other hand, Gaindakot Municipality has made school adjustments due to a low number of students. Mangladevi Basic School located in Ward No. 18 did not have any students, so they were transferred to another school. The municipality made the decision after a meeting held on March 23 of the City Education Committee.
According to Mayor Madan Bhakta Adhikari, who is also the chairman of the Municipal Education Committee, the school was adjusted to Birendra Basic School, and the physical and other assets of that school will be under the direct control and ownership of Birendra Basic School. Child Development Facilitator Dhanmaya Diswa and office assistant Bam Bahadur Relami Magar were reassigned to different schools since Mangladevi Basic School had no students.
The adjustment was made after the number of students in the school was not even one due to the settlement in the village being thinned out due to migration. The Ward President of Gaindakot-18, Til Bahadur Chitaure, mentioned that students had been low since last year, and it became difficult to run the school due to the geographical situation.
