Nepal Engineering College, a non-profit social educational institution, has distributed Provincial scholarships. On Sunday, 8th December 2024, the college awarded full scholarships to students from five provinces who excelled in the regional scholarship examination.

The selection for regional scholarships from Koshi Province and Karnali Province is still pending. Since the admission campaign for the new academic session is still ongoing, the distribution of regional scholarships for these two provinces remains.
The students receiving the scholarships will study Electrical and Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, BDH, and Civil and Rural Engineering. All scholarship recipients have studied in community schools. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to pursue engineering education provided by the college through regional scholarships, and they committed to working hard in their studies.
Assistant Principal Mohan Dhwaj KC congratulated and extended best wishes to the scholarship recipients, stating that the regional scholarship examination was conducted according to the scholarship standards of Pokhara University. He emphasized that the college always supports talented and hardworking students. Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari advised the students to maintain the dignity and prestige of the scholarship through diligent study. The principal mentioned that the college has been providing regional scholarships to enable students from remote areas to access engineering education.
According to Principal Bhandari, the college distributes regional scholarships worth NPR 7 million annually. He mentioned that Nepal Engineering College provides scholarships to poor and talented students yearly. This year, students from different provinces competed for regional scholarships. The scholarship is intended to encourage students from community schools to pursue engineering studies.
The college has been making significant contributions at the community level every year. It provides full and 50% discounted scholarships to two students from each of the four wards of Changunarayan Municipality and ward no. 7 of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality and other poor and talented students recommended by Changunarayan Municipality. In addition, scholarships are provided to the children of the college's teaching and non-teaching staff. Various discounts are also offered to students admitted to engineering studies based on their economic and educational status. The college distributes scholarships and discounts worth approximately NPR 150 million annually as a non-profit educational institution.
Regarding social responsibility, last year, the college provided full scholarships to five students from community schools affected by the devastating earthquake in Jajarkot and Rukum West. Principal Bhandari stated that the college was established to provide quality engineering education at affordable fees to students from remote areas of Nepal. The college will continue to distribute scholarships in the coming days.
The Nepal Engineering college offers undergraduate programs in civil engineering, civil and rural engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, civil engineering for diploma holders, and architecture. It is affiliated with Pokhara University and has received permanent approval since 2003 AD. based on its academic quality, physical infrastructure, educational results, and the national and international opportunities available to its students.
