Proposed Name of Ambassador to Germany, Belgium, and Pakistan Approved:

The Federal Parliament, Parliamentary Hearing Committee has approved the names of the proposed Nepali Ambassadors to Germany, Belgium, and Pakistan. After today's meeting of the committee took information about their qualifications, capabilities, experience, action plan, and thinking, they were unanimously approved as ambassadors, said Chairman Laxman Lal Karna.

The government had recommended Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari (Belgium and European Union), Tapas Adhikari (Pakistan), and Ramkaji Khadka (Germany) as ambassadors and sent them to the committee for a parliamentary hearing. Earlier, the committee had published a notice to the public within 10 days with clear grounds and evidence if anyone felt that it was not appropriate to appoint them to the post.

 He said, “Four theoretical complaints were received through emails that were not inclusive. There was a complaint in the name of the proposed ambassador Rajbhandari linked to Beruju. ” Presenting his concept earlier in the meeting, the proposed ambassador expressed his commitment not to violate the law and be disregarded while in office and expressed his determination to serve in a responsible manner.

 Stating that there is ample potential for improvement while working as an ambassador, he expressed his determination to work with an emphasis on economic diplomacy to bring investment and assistance from the country where he is posted. There is a constitutional provision for the President to appoint an ambassador on the recommendation of the government after the name of the proposed person is approved through a parliamentary hearing.
