Prohibitory Orders Extended in Mustang Until June 5: Stating that the risk of infection with the second wave of coronavirus remains high, prohibitory orders have been extended for the third time in a week in Mustang district on Friday.
Earlier, prohibitory orders issued on May 13, 2021, were extended for the second time till midnight on May 29, 2021. Extending to that, the District Administration Office has issued prohibitory orders for the third time till midnight on June 5, 2021.
The District Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee has stated that the corona infection in Mustang is gradually decreasing due to prohibitory orders. Hiradevi Poudel, Chief District Officer of Mustang, informed that the CCMC has extended prohibitory orders for the third time to be implemented in the Waragung Free Zone, Gharapjhong, and Thasang villages of Mustang.
The only district hospital in Mustang, known as a remote district, lacks the necessary ventilators, ICUs, manpower, and necessary health care equipment and medical supplies for the treatment of critical patients. That is why there is a challenge to prevent and control corona, said CDO Poudel, extending that the period of prohibitory orders has been extended.
The number of infected people is increasing with the risk of the second variant of Corona in Mustang. According to the District Health Office, Mustang, the number of infected people has reached 226 as of Thursday. According to District Health Chief Tikaram Bhandari, 11 people have contracted corona in Lomanthang, 136 in Waragung Muktikshetra, 83 in Gharapzhong, and 96 in Thasang.
