Private Schools Resumed Online Classes from Today:

Private investment schools have resumed online education from today after talks with the government turned positive. As the government did not provide them with concessional loans and it was difficult to raise the fees, the umbrella organization of private and residential schools issued a press release on 31st Adhad and suspended the online classes from the 1st Shrawan.

After the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology held a discussion with the concerned parties on Wednesday, including the preparation of the procedure for reopening the school; Private and Residential Schools Organization Nepal (PABSON), National Private and Residential Schools Association (NPABSON), Nepal Teachers Federation, Institutional School Teachers Union, and Parents Federation were consulted.

Teachers and parents also put pressure on private schools not to block online classes. For the implementation of the Alternative System Learning Facilitation Guideline, 2077 issued by the government, all the schools have been teaching through the alternative system since the last 1st Ashad 2077. The Government of Nepal has decided to conduct admissions and examinations from the 1st Bhadra of the school which was suspended due to the Corona epidemic. Tribhuvan University has also started opening its campus.
