Premier International IB World School Got Full Membership from ISF

Premier International IB World School, Khumaltar has received full membership from the International School Sports Federation (ISF). With the approval of ISF, the Nepal School Sports Federation has given full membership to the Premier, said Raj Kumar Karki, coordinator of the ISF Technical Commission, who is also the general secretary of the Nepal School Sports Federation.

It is said that Premier School is the first school in Nepal to get full membership of ISF.

National Sports Council (NSC) Vice President Shiva Koirala handed over the certificate of affiliation to Premier's Managing Director Basanta Thapa at a function held at Premier School on Sunday.

According to General Secretary Karki, Premier School will now be able to represent the nation in any competition organized by ISF.

Along with this collaboration, Premier School has succeeded in climbing new steps through another sports field. The International School Sports Federation (ISF), recognized by the International Olympic Committee, has been the international sports management body for school sports since 1972. The primary objective of this body is to provide education through sports.

Addressing the program, Vice President Koirala praised the premier for giving high importance to sports by constructing various sports infrastructures in the school premises by giving equal importance to sports along with education.

DK Dhungana, Central Co-Chairman of PABSON, Pradip Joshi, President of Nepal University Sports Association and Karki, General Secretary of PABSON congratulated the Premier on getting full membership. ISF President Laurent Patring also congratulated the premiere via video message.

Managing Director of Premier School Basanta Thapa thanked the students for providing full membership and said that the school would pay more attention to sports in the coming days.

On the occasion, Prasanna Moktan, a tennis player participating in the Junior Billy Jin King Cup in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was bid farewell with best wishes for success. Prashansa is studying in class 8 in Premier School.

ISF is an accredited association for organizing many other school-level sports events such as the School Summer Games (U18), World School Championships, and ISF Esports. Through this collaboration, Nepali students will now have the opportunity to participate in these games every year. Students will be able to participate in more than 20 academic and non-academic sports with 3,500 to 5,000 students from around the world.
