Pokhara University Updates Management Curriculum

Pokhara University's undergraduate and postgraduate programs under the Faculty of Management have been revised after 14 years. The curriculum for these programs has remained unchanged since 2010.

According to Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Chairperson of the Faculty of Management's subject committee, the updated curriculum includes programs such as:

  1. Undergraduate Programs:

    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

    • BBA in Finance

    • BBA in Travel and Tourism (BBA-TT)

  2. Postgraduate Programs:

    • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

    • MBA in Finance

    • MBA in Global Business

Key Features of the Updated Curriculum

The university aims to make the new curriculum more relevant to the job market. The revisions ensure that students can seamlessly transition into employment after graduation.

  • The new curriculum emphasizes practical application by requiring students to work on mandatory real-world assignments.

  • Students will gain hands-on experience in their fields by implementing what they learn in the classroom into professional environments.

Internship and Attendance Flexibility

Dr. Chalise further shared that students participating in internships can now work at domestic or international industrial institutions. Attendance at the campus during the internship period is no longer mandatory, offering students flexibility to gain global exposure without constraints.

Pokhara University hopes these curriculum changes will better equip students with the skills and experience necessary to meet the demands of the professional world.
