Good News for Students: PM Prachanda Ensures Timely Delivery of Textbooks

Amidst the recurring concerns of parents regarding the availability of textbooks for their children every year, the Janak Education Material Centre has accelerated the printing and shipping of textbooks for the new academic session.

PM Prachanda's Regular Interest Ensures Timely Delivery of Textbooks

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who also holds the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, has shown regular interest in ensuring timely delivery of textbooks. He instructed the center to start printing and distributing textbooks as soon as he was appointed as Prime Minister on December 25, 2022.

Printing Progress of Textbooks

According to the center, a total of 1 crore 35 lakh textbooks have been printed till date, and a total of 1.5 million books are left to be printed. The center claims that it can print all the books within seven days.

The managing director of the Center informed that out of the total required textbooks for class 6, 2.8 lakh books have been printed so far. Similarly, 2.8 lakh textbooks have been printed out of the required 2.8 lakh 50 thousand textbooks for class 7. For class 8, 2.2 million books have been printed, and another seven lakh books are yet to be printed.

Of the 32 lakh textbooks required for class 9, 29 lakh books have been printed, and the remaining three lakh books will be printed and distributed within March. Additionally, 2.8 million books have been printed so far for class 10, and 400,000 books are required.

Efforts to Deliver Textbooks on Time

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has instructed the center to provide printing and distribution notices every day. The Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has also repeatedly instructed the center to avoid any problem in textbook printing and distribution.

The center is working with a plan to deliver books to all schools by March, and the books will be delivered to eight distribution centers across the country by April 3, 2023. So far, more than one million textbooks have reached the distribution center.

Positive Response from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology

The Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has informed that due to everyone's interest and regular monitoring, it was ensured that the students would get the textbooks on time this time. He expressed confidence that the private sector printing house would complete the printing and distribution on time.

With the efforts of the Janak Education Material Centre (Jank Shakshya Samagri Kendra) and the regular interest of Prime Minister Prachanda, students can now look forward to starting their new academic session with textbooks in hand.
