Phidim Secondary School Experiences Surprising Increase in Student Enrollment
Phidim Secondary School, located in Phidim, the headquarters of Panchthar, is experiencing an unexpected increase in student enrollment. In the current academic session, the school conducted an entrance exam due to the large number of students wanting to enroll. The principal of the school, Binod Kumar Thakur, revealed that there are already 2,133 students studying in the school, and there is no room for new enrollees. However, due to the growing pressure to accept new students, the school planned to enroll 143 students from other schools.
Out of the quota of 143 students, 350 students applied for admission, and the school had no choice but to conduct an entrance exam. The school offers classes from LKG to class 12 and has been teaching science faculty in classes 11 and 12 for about a decade and a half. Additionally, engineering subjects have been introduced for classes 9-12 since 2076. Phidim Secondary School has been awarded as the best public school in Koshi province and is known for its well-equipped physical structure, library, quality education, and result-oriented environment.
